This series comprises records pertaining to the biennial meetings of the deaconess assembly, the highest authority of the restructured Deaconess Community of the Lutheran Church in America. Records date from 1980-1986 and include minutes, reports, devotions, orders of service, printed remarks, and various distributed materials for reference and consult at the assembly. These records differ from those of the deaconess conferences held prior to 1980 in that these do not include any assembly planning files. These represent a record of the assembly itself and events and sessions that occurred at the assembly.
